BICYCLING
The Mon/Yough Trail Council is an all volunteer, non-profit(c)3 corporation formed in 1991 to maintain and promote the 15 miles of trail extending south from McKeesport to the Westmoreland County line.
Great Allegheny Passage:
The Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) rail trail offers 150 miles of hiking and biking between Pittsburgh, PA and Cumberland, MD. In Cumberland, GAP connects to the C&O Towpath which continues on to Washington, DC.
Trail Town Program:
The Trail Town Program works in small rural towns across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia, focusing on community and economic development around trail tourism and outdoor recreation.
