Restoration Work to Begin September 6 at Round Hill Pond

PITTSBURGH – The Allegheny County Departments of Public Works and Parks today announced that restoration work will begin on the Round Hill Pond beginning on September 6, 2016.  The work includes the removal of sediment in the pond, planting aquatic vegetation to improve water quality, improvements along the shoreline and landscape to improve access, and improvements to the adjacent outlet structure.

There will be no access to the pond and restrictions to parking will be implemented during construction.  This will be an active work site and park goers are asked to use caution and be aware of their surroundings.  Work is scheduled to be complete by the end of November.  This $480,000 project is being done by Pugliano Construction of Plum, PA.
