Spring 2017 Events at Round Hill Park

 

Yoga Basics – All Levels
When: Wednesdays, March 1-29, 6:30 – 7:30 PM (no class on March 8th)
Where: Round Hill Park Visitors Center
Instructor: Leigh Cwynar
Cost: $40 per person for county residents; $50 per person for non-residents; $15 per person drop in fee. Pre-registration required by at www.alleghenycounty.us/parkprograms
Size: 20 people maximum
Info: Try something new and learn yoga in a supportive environment! We will move at a slower ace to help you to develop an understanding of the basics. Vinyasa yoga links your movements with your breathing. Everyone is welcome – from absolute beginners to those with previous experience.

 

Owl Prowl
When: Saturday, April 1 7:00 – 9:00 PM
Where: Round Hill Park Harmony House Shelter
Instructor: Allegheny County Park Rangers
Cost: Free! Pre-registration required at www.alleghenycounty.us/parkprograms
Size: 20 people maximum
Info: Whooo? Whooo is out there? Explore the wonderful world of owls with a Park Ranger! After a brief discussion, we’ll go searching for owls. Be sure to bring a flashlight.

Down on the Farm Day
When: Saturday, May 13, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: Round Hill Park Exhibition Farm

Info: Explore the farm, meet the animals, watch the annual sheep sheering, and sing along with Old MacDonald and friends featuring Josh & Gab!

 

Wonders of Wildlife
When: Sunday, June 18, 1:00 – 2:30 PM
Where: Round Hill Park Visitors Center
Instructor: Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium Staff
Cost: Free! Pre-registration required at www. alleghenycounty.us/parkprograms
Info: Discover fur, feathers, and scales in this instruction to some of the world’s most fascinating animals. Using live animals from the zoo, we will explore the physical characteristics of each animal while learning how they are uniquely adapted to their environments.
