Garbage & Recycling
Elizabeth Township has a mandatory recycling program, which consists of curbside pick-up of aluminum and bimetal cans and clear, green and brown glass containers such as bottles, jars or jugs. Waste Management does the collection of recyclable material in Elizabeth Township in trucks. Starting January 1, 2014, recycling will be picked up every other week.

The Covered Device Recycling Act (CDRA, House Bill 708), Act 108 of 2010. Beginning Jan. 24, 2013, desktop computers, laptop computers, computer monitors, computer peripherals, televisions, and any components of such devices may no longer be disposed in Pennsylvania with municipal waste. Additionally, covered devices that are not from an occupant of a single detached dwelling unit or a single unit of a multiple dwelling unit that used a covered device primarily for personal or small business may no longer dispose of these devices or their components at that time. All of these devices are required to be properly recycled. Household Hazardous Waste Program
Refuse collection in Elizabeth Township is contracted to Waste Management. Each resident who uses this service pays quarterly bills directly to Waste Management. Please direct all inquiries to Waste Management at their customer service center at 1-(800)-866-4460. Senior citizens, 65 and older, receive a 10% discount.
