On Wednesday, June 29, residents in the Elizabeth & Monongahela areas may experience a power outage between the hours of 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Customers impacted will be notified via phone message. In the event of inclement weather, the outage will occur on June 30. Thank you for your patience.

We are now accepting letters of interest for 2 alternates for the Planning Commission. All interested parties should submit their letters of interest by mail or in person at the Municipal Building, 522 Rock Run Road Elizabeth, PA 15037. Letters should be addressed to the attention of Lauren Zang, Office Manager/Finance Specialist and submitted by no later 4:30 PM on Thursday, July 7th.
On Friday, July 1, there will be a planned power outage to upgrade facilities. The outage will impact 13 customers in the vicinity of West Smithfield Street in McKeesport. The outage is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Customers will be notified of the outage via phone message. In the event of inclement weather, the outage will occur on July 5. Elizabeth Township Police Department is excited to announce that we will have a permanent prescription drug drop off box located at the Elizabeth Township Municipal Building at 522 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth, PA. Residents are able to come during normal business hours, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday to drop off any prescription drugs that they no longer need or want. The drop off box is located in the lobby of the Municipal Building.
The following list IS accepted: prescription drugs/medications/ointments, prescription patches, over the counter medications, vitamins, sample medications, pet medications
The following list IS NOT accepted: thermometers, hydrogen peroxide, inhalers, needles (sharps), medication from businesses or clinics, aerosol cans, over the counter ointments/liquids
